הַלְלוּ־יָהּ שִׁירוּ לַיהֹוָה שִׁיר חָדָשׁ תְּהִלָּתוֹ בִּקְהַל חֲסִידִים׃

Hallelujah. Sing to GOD a new song, sing praises in the congregation of the faithful.

יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֹשָׂיו בְּנֵי־צִיּוֹן יָגִילוּ בְמַלְכָּם׃

Let Israel rejoice in its maker; let the children of Zion exult in their monarch.

3

יְהַלְלוּ שְׁמוֹ בְמָחוֹל בְּתֹף וְכִנּוֹר יְזַמְּרוּ־לוֹ׃

Let them praise God’s name in dance; with hand-drum and lyre let them chant such praises.

4

כִּי־רוֹצֶה יְהֹוָה בְּעַמּוֹ יְפָאֵר עֲנָוִים בִּישׁוּעָה׃

For GOD delights in this people, and adorns the lowly with victory.

5

יַעְלְזוּ חֲסִידִים בְּכָבוֹד יְרַנְּנוּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָם׃

Let the faithful exult in glory; let them shout for joy upon their couches,

6

רוֹמְמוֹת אֵל בִּגְרוֹנָם וְחֶרֶב פִּיפִיּוֹת בְּיָדָם׃

with paeans to God in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands,

7

לַעֲשׂוֹת נְקָמָה בַּגּוֹיִם תּוֹכֵחוֹת בַּלְאֻמִּים׃

to impose retribution upon the nations, punishment upon the peoples,

8

לֶאְסֹר מַלְכֵיהֶם בְּזִקִּים וְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶם בְּכַבְלֵי בַרְזֶל׃

binding their kings with shackles, their nobles with chains of iron,

9

לַעֲשׂוֹת בָּהֶם מִשְׁפָּט כָּתוּב הָדָר הוּא לְכׇל־חֲסִידָיו הַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃ {פ}

executing the doom decreed against them. This is the glory of all the faithful. Hallelujah.
