לַמְנַצֵּחַ אַל־תַּשְׁחֵת לְדָוִד מִכְתָּם בְּבׇרְחוֹ מִפְּנֵי־שָׁאוּל בַּמְּעָרָה׃

For the leader; al tashḥeth. Of David. A michtam; when he fled from Saul into a cave.

חׇנֵּנִי אֱלֹהִים חׇנֵּנִי כִּי בְךָ חָסָיָה נַפְשִׁי וּבְצֵל־כְּנָפֶיךָ אֶחְסֶה עַד יַעֲבֹר הַוּוֹת׃

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for I seek refuge in You, I seek refuge in the shadow of Your wings, until danger passes.

אֶקְרָא לֵאלֹהִים עֶלְיוֹן לָאֵל גֹּמֵר עָלָי׃

I call to God Most High, to God who is good to me,

יִשְׁלַח מִשָּׁמַיִם וְיוֹשִׁיעֵנִי חֵרֵף שֹׁאֲפִי סֶלָה יִשְׁלַח אֱלֹהִים חַסְדּוֹ וַאֲמִתּוֹ׃

who will reach down from heaven and deliver me— sending down steadfast love; my persecutor reviles. Selah.

נַפְשִׁי בְּתוֹךְ לְבָאִם אֶשְׁכְּבָה לֹהֲטִים בְּנֵי־אָדָם שִׁנֵּיהֶם חֲנִית וְחִצִּים וּלְשׁוֹנָם חֶרֶב חַדָּה׃

As for me, I lie down among lions who devour humans— whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongue is a sharp sword.

רוּמָה עַל־הַשָּׁמַיִם אֱלֹהִים עַל כׇּל־הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדֶךָ׃

Exalt Yourself over the heavens, O God, let Your glory be over all the earth!

רֶשֶׁת הֵכִינוּ לִפְעָמַי כָּפַף נַפְשִׁי כָּרוּ לְפָנַי שִׁיחָה נָפְלוּ בְתוֹכָהּ סֶלָה׃

They prepared a net for my feet to ensnare me; they dug a pit for me, but they fell into it. Selah.

נָכוֹן לִבִּי אֱלֹהִים נָכוֹן לִבִּי אָשִׁירָה וַאֲזַמֵּרָה׃

My heart is firm, O God; my heart is firm; I will sing, I will chant a hymn.

9

עוּרָה כְבוֹדִי עוּרָה הַנֵּבֶל וְכִנּוֹר אָעִירָה שָּׁחַר׃

Awake, O my soul! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will wake the dawn.

10

אוֹדְךָ בָעַמִּים אֲדֹנָי אֲזַמֶּרְךָ בַּלְאֻמִּים׃

I will praise You among the peoples, O my Sovereign; I will sing a hymn to You among the nations—

11

כִּי־גָדֹל עַד־שָׁמַיִם חַסְדֶּךָ וְעַד־שְׁחָקִים אֲמִתֶּךָ׃

for Your faithfulness is as high as heaven; Your steadfastness reaches to the sky.

12

רוּמָה עַל־שָׁמַיִם אֱלֹהִים עַל כׇּל־הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדֶךָ׃ {פ}

Exalt Yourself over the heavens, O God, let Your glory be over all the earth!
